Alexander Park
City: Lawrenceville, GA

Year Built: 2009

# of Holes: 18

Multiple Tees / Pins: Yes / Yes

Course Description:

This is a newer course in Lawrenceville, GA that can really test your skill. It is mostly open, but there are a few shorter holes that feature risk/reward and accuracy. Sometimes you can throw a putter off a tee then have to rip a driver on the next hole. There is a good use of slight elevation change used on the course. every hole has concrete teepads, great signs, a red pad for beginner and a blue pad for advanced players, and yes, even brooms to clear the pads. I like this course because it fills a gap in the GA disc golf map and gets a lot of play. It is not a beginner course per say, yet is is not the toughest course, YET. In a few years when the course maturesand the trees grow, it will be a challenge for all. 18 holes out here, windy as can be on some days, and a course where you thrown a lot of your discs and learn to throw down in your bag. I would rate it a 3.5 out of 5.

A great course for new to intermediate players
Alexander, or Alex as locals call it, is a great course for practicing your distance drives and your wooded tunnel shots. It is not a long course but it has a good variety and great amenities. There are 2 teepads that vary mostly in distance with the exception of hole 3 which is an entirely different shot. There are also 2-3 pin positions for all holes except hole 8 which only has one. When in the all long position the course is about average length, when in the shorts it is one of the shorter 18 holers around. It is a lot of fun but it will not really challenge you, especially if you can throw 300' and have any accuracy at all.
