Black Bear Park

This course is an 18 hole course that got squeezed into a nice wooded setting with a large pond. Natural wooded settings and pathways make the fairways for holes 2, 3, and 13 thru 18. Couple of holes out in the open and #5 goes over the corner of the pond so don’t throw weak or fade to the right unless you don’t mind swimming for it. Same goes for #10 as a sudden breeze once took a lightweight disc of mine far to the right and long gone. Keeping this in mind, good disc selection can be helpful. The park has been updated with new garbage cans. This compliments nicely with the easy to read signs, and even a port-o-john near the back if you need it. Bring the family as there is a large play ground at the start of this course if you would like too. Do remember that since you are in a wooded area there has been a time or two I went to pick up my disc to find a gardener snake slither away from it. Also I would recommend bright colored discs for hole #4 as the grass gets pretty tall here. All in all I find this to be a nice course, not as much variety as others and no really long holes either but still challenging and fun to play.
