Course Description:
burgess park is a course of all par 3s. most holes are straight shots with a few trees in the path betwwen 150-250 ft, the farthest hole at burgess is 350 ft, there are two wholes 9 and 10 that are thrown across an open field and are the only holes thats you can let go with your driver. the rest of the holes are all fairly short and are mostly played with a mid range. the front 9 is a mellow set of 3s with two dog leg holes the rest are straight shots for the most part , the back 9 is much more difficult than the front because it is more in the woods and theres alot more trees and obstacles. back 9 has about the dogleg rights. one which is hole 11 is about 175 -200 ft dogleg right up and down a hill to a blind basket, hole 14 is a long 300ft dogleg to the right with a fairly hard path with all the trees. and hole 15 is another dogleg right down a hill to a blind basket surrounded by trees.the rest of the back 9 are challenging shots around and between a lot of trees , up hills, slight bends but not much distance which makes the course playable for anyone with a little practice . burgees is a intermediate course but great for beginners and pros alike. good place to learn and a good place to tune your skills. every hole has alternate tees and a few holes have alternate baskets . all in all burgess is a laid back course ,park upkeep is fairly good and people have good attidues and tend to be friendly, a fun place to play for the recreational or serious players. theres even a little playground for kids and a few grills for family BBQs. come check it out
