Description
Freddy Gonzalez Park is 9 hole course in a well maintained park. It is not a large park but they use the space wisely. Several of the baskets are just out of view of the tee due to elevation challenges and use of the surroundings. The course plays around a drainage ditch. The ditch does have very tall reeds which makes it a bit tough to find your disc if it goes in. The ditch does lend itself to being a breeding ground for bugs so make sure to bring the bug spray. The course has a playground for the kids right between the start and ending of the course. It also has a walking track around the perimeter of the course.

Freddy Gonzalez DGC
Freddy Gonzalez Park is one of only two of the valley's disc golf courses so it's mere existence is a positive thing. It is a 9 hole course that circles a drainage ditch. It is not on a large amount of land but they used the land well in constructing the course. It is close to the highway which is great for anyone just passing through and it wont take you long at all to play a round. The main drawbacks of this course are the because of the drainage ditch. It has very high reeds which makes it a huge pain to find your discs. Some of the tees are right next to it and the ground is permanently wet (I fell on my butt trying to tee off on #5). But worst of all it is a breeding ground for mosquitoes. We were covered from head to toe in bug repellent but we were still constantly attacked by swarms anytime we were near the water. Bug problems is something I would never usually mention in a review but it was just that bad. All in all it is a quick course that can be fun as long as the bugs arn't that bad.
