| Description |
Gateway is filling out their mid-range line-up with the new Scout. It's a adequately fast, easy to throw mid that fits in between the Warrior and the Element on the stability spectrum. It will go straighter for longer than the Warrior but handles greater speeds as well as headwinds than does the Element. The S-Series Scout has a good grip and feels stiff and sturdy.

I've had some good shots using the Scout as an approach disc. I'm still trying to implement it into my game. Due to the stable flying, I've tried it as a putter in really windy conditions with some sucess. Due to limited distance with the normal frisbee throw. I tee off and use the approach shot with a sidearm type of throw. It's been a sucess and I continue to throw that way. I usually go left with my discs resulting in a fade to the right. I would highly recommend this disc, on our 9 hole course I would say I may use this disc on about 3 or 4 holes, depending on where my drive has landed. |

The Scout is a very versatile mid that will go straight for you or can hold another line. Doesn't go far when it lands on an approach. I have a 180 and it handles the wind well. Love my Nebulas, but the Scout may finally put them into the archives.
I think you will find a place for it in your bag. |
