Gateway Soft Wizard Putter (S-Series)

My Go To putter. I have used the same Wizard for such a long time that I have rubbed the bead smooth off. It still holds itself in all conditions.

This putter is one of five gateways wizard discs. This disc in particular is a very firm disc when compared to innova's dx plastic, and also more firm when compared to discraft's esp, elite-x or z plastic. It has a predictable fade and is a good disc for short to moderately medium range putts. This disc is not overstable enough to handle a headwind, which was my main problem with the disc. Also, as a person that has big hands, the disc had an uncomfortable grip, so it may be more suitable for a smaller hand size. to put this in perspective, i wear an large size when using latex gloves. This disc is only meant for backhand throwing. All in all, this disc is a fairly good disc in non-wind, or tail wind conditions. Its firmness allows it to fly fast and straight for those short putts.

After playing with a Glow Wizard for several months, I finally got the opportunity to get a Soft Wiz. First of all, the color on this thing is sweet -- nice mint green swirl, really nice natural beauty. But the important thing is how it performs. In a word -- awesome. I wanted to try a different plastic, but wanted the Wizard feel, and I love the S. Nice and soft in my hand, great to throw. Reliable fade without any HS turn at all. Go buy five of them so you can use it to practice.
