Herbert Hoover Park
City: Newberg, OR

Year Built: 1998

# of Holes: 9

Multiple Tees / Pins: No / No

Course Description:

PROS: Hoover is great because there are usually not that many people there and I can get in two rounds in about an hour. For me, this course is great for practicing touch shots, midrange drives, and working on accuracy. This course is also great for beginners, only I or two of the holes is over 300' and only a couple holes have a significant amount of woods. Cons: Some of the fairways can be pretty tight at times and hole 4 fairway crosses hole 5 fairway. Also, since the whole course is in a bowl, when it rains, the ground stays wet for a while. LAST THOUGHT: I would recommend this course to almost anyone driving by, but if you are looking for a more challenging course, drive up the road to Ewing Young.

Hoover is a sweet little course, and when i say little i mean little. if you wanna go and play a quick few rounds and enjoy a nice course in a little hole in Newberg that stays cool this is the spot. The only thing that i would say to watch out for is durning oregons rainy months it can get a little soggy on a few holes. Over all the course is fun and short which = lots of rounds and quick. plus if you wanna make hole 9 a little bit longer you shot from tee pad 9 to hole 2. Have fun and this sweet little course!
