Description

Located in the Holly State Park, Holly Woods is quite challenging. There are 24 holes on this course all have cement tee's. The course signs could use improvement however the layout is beautiful! On the 8th hole you can choose to take an alternative route to the east for a quick 9 holes and right back to the parking area, to play through continue to the south (south is toward Dixie Highway you can see the passing traffic). Hole 9 you start hitting the woods, you will need to use Hyzers and Anhyzers to navigate some of these areas. Some holes require pre-spotting basket placement.

There are quite a few toe trippers, (smaller tree growth that has been cut at ground level but stumps still remain) and some deadfall spread out on the course. The course has a fair amount of changes in elevation and in my opinion this has been greatly utilized also the basket placement has been well thought out! The only cost to play here is a State park daily sticker, or seasonal pass.
