20 hole course, built in the back of marion's "thomas park". great variety of shots. you will be presented with many looks here, and is the best course in the cedar rapids/marion area if you are looking for a challenge. errant throws often difficult to find, so keep it on the fairway. signage isn't very good, navigation can be a bit of a problem. most holes stretch between 200-300 feet. sections of wooded holes and open, again, great variety. not maintained very well besides where the city mows the grass. hole seven is very overgrown and nearly unplayable. some unused teepads sitting about that can confuse first timers at the course. water hazard in the form of a river along final stretch of holes. best quality is the challenge it presents. drinking fountains and bathrooms plus multiuse park in front. |
