Renny, as we call it here in CHarlotte, is a massacre to beginners.
But, if you play it enough you will find the shots you need to make. This is like a giant puzzle, that makes you swear out loud.Black tees are just as hard if not harder than Gold, too. Gold has distance, 1042 ft. #11, and is still difficult even with par fours and fives. If you can not shape your shots and stay in bounds you will lose your discs in swamps, briars, creeks and big bushy cedar trees.(2 meter rule not used here) I have played this course hundreds of times and have tamed many holes, but with wind on the back nine in open fields it is problematic. This course is very well maintained for such a large area. Bathrooms, trashcans and water fountains are a plus. Biggest gripe everyone has is the confusing layout. Find someone playing and ask for a hand, trust me. Here in Charlotte we are proud of our courses and would love to show you the ropes. This course is a par 70 monster, so bring water and appropriate footwear.
