Description
Searight Park is an 18 hole course in south Austin. Most holes at Searight Park are short but they are still very well designed by John Houck Design. The course has open fairways and no water hazards but very dense trees on either side. The course is shaped like a giant '8' so if you would like to stop playing after the front 9, you will be very close to the start/finish area.

Played Once
Ive played this course once and loved it. It had nice open fairways (which I wasnt used to with Steeplechase but enjoyed). The problem with the open fairways is that it lets the hot TX sun beat down on you in most areas. Very clean, nice signs and tees, city park at entrance with water fountain, bathroom, soccer fields(to practice driving on) and a practice basket. Overall very nice park!

Searight
Searight is one of my favorite parks in the area. It is not the longest park nor is it the hardest but it is a fun place to play. It does get rather busy since it is a great park and because it is so close to a South Austin disc golf store. It has lots of events going on if you are interested in those. It has good tee pads, good signage, and no water hazards. The fairways are very open but the trees are really dense on all sides. This is a course that I play whenever I can but I try to go during non-peak times.
